The modern incarnation of Western Creek’s lower reaches. A mostly open concrete drain that becomes an extension of the Brisbane River at high tide.

This drain is the most visible reminder that there once was a creek in this part of Brisbane. It is also a reminder of how much the environment has been altered in the service of urbanisation. This may be a watercourse of sorts, but it has been stripped of every last vestige of naturalness.
