Operating from 1871 to 1889 on Cribb Street, this was claimed by some to be Queensland’s first rectifying distillery.

It produced principally rum but also distilled wine and other spirits. The building stood until at least 1949, when the Brisbane City Council purchased the land to expand the tram workshops.
